How webcam payouts are usually split

A published example, not a ranking

One large site, Chaturbate, publishes a broadcaster conversion of $0.05 per token on its own support page. That same help center also describes how viewers buy tokens. Those pages are linked under Sources. Other sites use different units and different math. Copy the method, not the number.

Worked example using only that published $0.05 figure: 1,000 tokens converted there would be described as $50 before any payout-method fee. If a viewer paid more than $50 of real money to buy those 1,000 tokens, the gap is the platform’s take plus processing. We are not restating Chaturbate’s current consumer prices here because they change; look at the live purchase screen.

What to write down before you broadcast

• The conversion rate in the current help docs, not a screenshot from 2022.
• Minimum cash-out and the calendar (weekly, twice a month, daily if you qualify).
• Fee for each payout rail (wire, Paxum, crypto, cheque).
• Whether a studio takes another cut on top.
• Whether recordings on the site are included in that split.

If a recruiter will not point you at a public page for those numbers, treat that as the answer.

Effective hourly rate

After two weeks, divide money actually received by hours you were live. Include the dead hours. That figure is how you compare sites. The choosing a site checklist is the rest of the decision.

Taxes and records

Payout companies are not your accountant. Keep your own log. In the United States, producers of sexually explicit visual material also have record-keeping duties under 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. Part 75. Platforms layer their own ID process on top. That is not optional because a forum thread said “nobody checks.”
