Definition

Tokens (sometimes called credits or coins) are the virtual currency used on most amateur webcam platforms. Viewers purchase tokens from the platform and spend them on tips, private shows, and other paid features. Performers receive a portion of the token value according to the platform’s revenue share.

Why It Matters

The token system sits between the viewer’s payment method and the performer’s payout. Understanding token economics helps both viewers (budgeting) and performers (evaluating effective rates after platform fees).

Examples

• A viewer buys 1,000 tokens for a set dollar amount; the platform may offer volume discounts.
• Tipping 50 tokens in a public room is visible to the performer and often to other viewers.
• A private show priced at 60 tokens per minute is charged continuously while the show is active.
