Guide
How to choose a webcam site
Quick answer
Do not pick a site from a banner. Read the terms, check that you can turn on two-factor login, buy a small token pack, sit in a public room for ten minutes, and only then spend more. The same checklist works if you are deciding where to broadcast.
What actually differs from site to site
Most amateur cam sites look the same on the surface: a grid of live rooms, a chat box, a tip button, and a private-show price. The differences that matter sit underneath that.
- How strictly they check age.
- How clearly they show token prices and billing descriptors.
- Whether you can lock the account with two-factor authentication.
- How fast they handle reports.
- For performers: the real payout percentage, the minimum cash-out, and how often they pay.
Marketing pages talk about “thousands of girls online.” That number moves every hour and does not tell you if support answers a ticket. For the money side, see how platforms work and how tokens work.
1. If you are a viewer
Start with the getting started guide so the room types make sense. Then run this pass before you attach a card.
- Open the current terms and privacy policy. Look for age rules, chargebacks, and what they do with chat logs.
- Create the account with an email you do not use for banking or work.
- Turn on two-factor authentication if it exists. If it does not exist, treat that as a mark against the site. Details: account security.
- Buy the smallest token pack. You are testing billing text on your statement, not “investing.”
- Sit in two or three public rooms. Watch whether tips are acknowledged, whether mods show up, and whether the performer is clearly an adult.
- Only then consider a private show.
Never move the conversation to WhatsApp, Telegram, or email because someone in chat asked. That is the most common way people get drained. See common scams.
2. If you are deciding where to broadcast
A pretty studio page is not a payout. Write down, from the site’s own help pages:
- The split after token conversion — not the “up to” number on an ad.
- Payout method (wire, Paxum, crypto, etc.) and the fee for each.
- The minimum balance and the calendar (weekly, twice a month, monthly).
- Who owns recorded shows if the site offers recordings.
- What happens to your traffic if you take a week off.
Understanding payouts walks through effective rates. The performer topic page collects the rest.
3. A simple scorecard
Give each item a 1 (weak), 2 (fine), or 3 (clear and documented). Add them up. Do not overthink it.
- Age check looks real, not a checkbox anyone can click.
- Token prices are visible before you enter a private show.
- Two-factor login exists and works.
- You can find a report button in a room without hunting.
- Privacy policy names what data they keep.
- Support has a ticket form that actually returns mail.
- For performers: payout math is published, not “contact your agent.”
A site that scores well on safety and poorly on “number of rooms” is still a better first account than the opposite.
What this page is not
It is not a ranking of Chaturbate vs Stripchat vs anyone else. Those lineups change. This page is the questions to ask so a ranking, including ours, cannot replace your own check.
Some buttons on this website are sponsored. They do not change the checklist. See the disclosure.
